Bigger, wider, deeper
CityDepot grows ... and grows ... and grows. In the city of Ostend, we have signed a partnership with Europal Logistics (subsidiary of DI Group SA), specializing in inbound supply chain solutions for the industry with extensive digital integration in their clients’ ERP platforms. Over the last ten years, Europal Logistics have built a strong reputation in JIT, sequence deliveries and warehouse-on-wheels concepts.
CityDepot and Europal are joining forces to set up urban distribution in Ostend and neighboring coastal towns. “About a year and a half ago we tried to establish a partnership with the city of Ostend”, explains CityDepot CEO Marc Schepers. “That did not work out, unfortunately, but we are returning in a stronger position and with a solid partner.” Europal Logistics considers their partnership with CityDepot “a perfect match for ecological last mile distribution, based on knowledge, people, location, and a no-nonsense approach”, declares Europal Logistics CEO Patrick Dejager.
Apart from Ostend, also the cities of Mechelen and Mons are on CityDepot’s radar. Schepers: “The city of Mechelen has blossomed in recent years and provides great opportunities for us. A CityDepot warehouse at the border of the city can double-serve as a pre-city hub for deliveries in Brussels and Antwerp. In Mons, and Wallonia as a whole, consolidation of goods is even more crucial and beneficial than in Flanders. Carriers must travel long distances between delivery stops, which is why they reach out to partners like CityDepot.”
What all concerned cities have in common, is that they can profit from CityDepot’s steadily growing logistics platform, which just keeps on getting bigger, wider, and deeper.
